Today Xiaomi together with XiaoYi presented the second generation of sports cameras Yi Action Camera 2 (aka Xiaomi Yi 4K Action Camera specs).
Before the presentation much has been known about the chamber, for example, the use of advanced CPU Ambarella A9 (SE95) and ability to shoot 4K video, most of the speculation proved to be true.
FEATURES OF THE NEW XIAOMI YI 4K ACTION CAMERA SPECS
The camera comes in a plastic case, there are white, black and pink colors to choose from. Inside installed Sony IMX337 camera module, Yi 4K Action Camera has a wide-angle lens 155 degrees. This sports camera can record video in 4K resolution (at a frequency fps – 30 fps).
There is also a popular mode Slo-mo (740p / 240 fps and 1080p / 120 fps) and TimeLapse – Time-lapse recording 0.5,1,2,5,10,30,60 seconds between shots.
Xiaomi reports that 4K Yi can conduct continuous shooting in 4K to 2 hours, installed inside capacious battery 1400 mAh. In addition, this device has a powerful two-band Wi-Fi module for fast downloading movies to your smartphone, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 for camera control.
On the opposite side of the camera is the display, something which was lacking in the previous generation of cameras. Its diagonal is 2.19 “inches, pixel density – 330 ppi and it’s all covered with a protective glass Gorilla Glass. The viewing angle of the display – 160 degrees.
But from the first generation of accessories are not suitable for Yi Action Camera 2, since it has a different design: other fastenings have to buy separately. Novelty cost will be around $ 200, it is three times more than the price of the first Yi Camera.
